It's A Mod Mod World

Scored this little gem at the Fairmount Prison Flea Market. It's a king size bedspread from the 70's that packs a powerful design punch. Three-dimensional, fringie boxes on one side and neat and clean on the other. The bright blue and white color combination is timeless and the fuzzy boxes thoroughly chic. Fits in beautifully with my modern decor. Perhaps the best twenty bucks I've ever spent.

Happy Easter! Happy Spring!

This is how I tweet.

From our stash of never used photoshoot props. I picked this up at a variety store in Chinatown, Philadelphia. Not sure what I like more, the hand-painted blue, red and pink or the complete defiance against Warner Brothers copyright-protection.

Love Armor

Photo: Wendy Mceahern

The Love Armor Humvee cozy.

I saw this exhibit at the Ice Box Project Space in Philly last month. It was incredible. The highlight was a giant knitted cover for a humvee. Like a beer cozy for a war vehicle. It's suspended in mid-air. The workmanship is beautiful. It's knitted using a thick cotton string. There was also a video describing how it was engineered, knitted and assembled by over 70 artists, many of whom are women with husbands or children fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Peace, man.

I spotted these binder divider pages in my groovy friend's bookshelf, nestled between two old Dylan albums. It looks so today with it's graphic appeal and great color combo but it's actually very yesterday. Check out the old packaging and the price, 39 cents for the pack. Hey, I just realized there isn't a "cents" key.

For The Good Old Boys

As a designer, I love this pattern booklet. These sweaters are beautiful, the styling dead-on and the typography is amazing. Check out the illustrations, simple and stylish. And those long sleeve sweaters....OMG!!!! i'd pay $100 to own that gray V Neck with the graphic. So ahead of its time. Enjoy this entry on its many awesome levels.

Time to play

Check out this 45 found in our studio hallway. Red vinyl, cool type and graphic, positive message. No idea what the music sounds like. Playful, no doubt.
